How’s The Market?

Although there were only 2 new listings and no closed sales last week in Montecito, there was a lot of activity — we have been experiencing many showings at all different price points, and buyers are out making offers on properties from Carpinteria to Santa Ynez.

February was a slower month compared to 2022 – there were a total of 23 closed sales in February 2022 and this year there were only 6 closed sales. However, of the 6 closed sales, only one property was on the market for more than 21 days before going into escrow, demonstrating continued demand with strong activity and quick sales for the right properties! The two properties that went into escrow were both previously on the market and re-listed at a lower price and then sold very quickly.
