How’s the Market?

“Patience is not the ability to wait but the ability to keep a good attitude while waiting.” – Joyce Meyer

One of the most powerful assets in real estate has to be patience. The last few years properties have flown off the market, the good, (the bad!?) and everything in between. We are settling back into a more normal market where properties take a few weeks before anything REALLY happens, but that does not necessarily reflect something being wrong with the property.

The average days on market in Santa Barbara County so far this year is 38. This is higher compared to last year (24 DOM) and 2021 (33 DOM). However, in 2020 the average days on market was 72, which is almost double what we are seeing today. So, if a property is on the market for several weeks or more compared to 2022 and 2021, remember, those markets were unprecedented and in my opinion we are now in a normal market!

Raise the Roof

In a small town like Santa Barbara, knowing which local professionals to use can make all the difference when you are conducting home inspections or diving into a new home project. Using the best local professionals is a top priority for us and when it comes to roofs, nobody compares to Action Roofing.

Action Roofing was established in Santa Barbara in 1985 by Jack Martin, CEO and acting general manager of the company. Through the years, they have grown to over 160 full-time employees, and many have been with them since the company started. They have worked hard to develop an excellent reputation in the local community and make sure every job is done to the best of their ability.

That sums it up for last week!
